Circumcision is a very polarized issue. People are either for it or against it and are rabidly defensive about their stance. This is because circumcision deals with sex, power and control. The fact that circumcision is permanant and irreversible adds to why the issue is so heated.
When you cut off 30-70% of the erogenous hyperelastic skin of the penis you sure do have "less penis". You are left with a penis with less capacity for sensation, not more capacity. The "benefits" of circumcision have been extensively studied but the sexual consequences and losses of the procedure has had limited study until recent years.
People who are against circumcision are not trying to tell the circ'd men of the world that their penises are inferior. They are trying to inform people that circumcision results in loss. Nerve endings are lost, skin mobility and gliding action is lost, the frenulum is lost, moisture secreting glands, blood vessels, estrogen receptors and muscle sheath are lost, as well as the protective function that the foreskin provides for the glans, ensuring its sensitivity throughout a man's life. These make up critical components of male sexual anatomy and without them the experience of orgasm is undoubtedly reduced. Did I mention that ALL the pleasure of his WHOLE penis that is every man's right is also lost?
To put it another way circumcision doesn't add anything to a penis.
People might call anti-circumcision activists fanatic, but it's really people who willingly strap their child to a board to have his penis cut who are really crazy. Most grown men who have foreskins don't want to strap themselves down and have some doctor come in with a scalpel. That's why circumcision is performed at birth - because it can be forced.

No man is inferior to any other man just because somebody stole something from him. The circumcised man can give his mate all she wants, and most likely a good deal more than she wants. I for one just love the question, "Aren’t you soon done?
It is the circumcised male that gets less pleasure; he may have a very difficult time achieving orgasm from intercourse. A history of delayed orgasm may even bring on E.D.
He is no less a man for it! It is not like he gambled away the rent money, or fondled the babysitter.
What is irresponsible, is telling people that circumcision is totally without risk, painless and has nothing but benefits. Some of us know the damage it can do, we are the victims. Should we remain silent and watch as more boys are mutilated? I just can't do that in good conscience.

The modeling industry uses its tactics to sell something, the medical industry uses its tactics to sell something too, in this case circumcision. I don't think there is an anti-circumcision industry, as there is nothing to sell, there is no money to be made.
The message is not to make the victims feel bad, it is to stop the abuse. Just like any other ad or poster you might see about any other kind of abuse.
We are the victims of what we know is a mutilation, it has affected our lives, it gives us pain in our everyday lives, it adversely affects our sex lives, are we supposed to remain silent? We carry on with our lives, we go to work each day, we love and support our families (isn't that what it means to be a man?), but our consciences will not allow us to be silent as this sick tradition is perpetrated on even more boys.
Every human being has a right to a body as complete and perfect as G*d or nature gave it to them. No one or group has a right to change that because of their opinions or superstitions.
This basic right applies equally to girls in Africa, Asia, and boys in the U.S.
There are some females that think there are so many benefits to circumcision; they say the reason we are opposed to circumcision is because we are unhappy with our own. WELL YES, that is called the voice of experience. Who better to speak about something than some one that has experienced it? What gives those girls the right to preach? What is the souce of their expertese. They have none.
They mention the risk of cancer of the penis, do they realize that the incidence of cancer of the female labia is more than twice that of cancer of the penis in uncircumcised males? Do they want the surgery to prevent it? By the way the incidence of cancer of the penis in European countries, where circumcision is rare, is just as low as it is in circumcising nations; the main risks are from smoking and lack of hot/cold running water for hygiene.
If circumcision is so effective against HIV AIDs why is it in the U.S. over one half million circumcised males have died of AIDs? Why is it that in Indonesia, the most Moslem (read circumcised) nation on earth, AIDs is on a runaway?
All this leaves me wondering what is in it for them, what is their interest in having all these little boys maimed? I have seen some of their answers to other questions like "I just love that brown scar!" It sounds to me like a sick fetish to enjoy somone elses mutilation.

Although there is evidence that circumcision destroys some nerve endings in the glans penis and removes sensory inputs from the foreskin that has been removed entirely, there is no evidence of complete loss of stimulation. Personally, I think circumcision is not necessary, but that does not mean anything to individuals who have already undergone the procedure as infants or young adults.
I think feeling inferior and/or making another person feel inferior is a natural human response to feeling "different" from the norm - the norm in America is to be circumcised. I think the "uncut" backlash may be what you are referring to. There are many ways to enjoy your penis and its functions that are related more to your emotional connection with your partner and your joy of being with them. As long as a circumcised penis is able to receive sensations of pleasure, this pleasure becomes an integral part of an individual, intimate sexual experience, disproving any previous outside commentary on ruination.

I'm not sure if I'm ruined. It would of been nice to have a choice in the matter. All the current research does point to reduced sensitivity, but not a total erasing of sensitivity as is the case with female circumcision. But I do believe the practice of circumcision should be abandoned because all the old arguments for it just don't hold water. It is mutilation!

it quite is incorrect to surgicaly regulate somebody's physique without their permission. era, end of communicate. specific some teenagers and adult males get circumcised as adults yet that has no longer something to do with it being ideal or incorrect as an toddler. they may be the single to make certain in the event that they choose it, it is going to no longer be desperate for them. i'm anti-toddler circumcision as a results of fact i replaced into circumcised without my consent as an toddler. My dad and mom had absolutly no ideal to try this to my physique. it quite is my physique and purely i'm able to make certain if i choose areas of it amputated or no longer. i wouldnt' savour them reducing my hand off as a results of fact they however my fingernails have been too no longer ordinary to bathe. Circumcision has no clinical benifits. it quite is not cleanser, it quite is not extra healthy, and it does no longer preclude infections or ailment. i'm extra desirable than able to taking a normal bathe. Circumcision relatively does quite some harm to the male. The reducing leads to nerve and vascular harm inflicting sensitivity loss and extra desirable danger of sexual affliction. It additionally exsposes the top of the penis to consistently rubbing on outfits and the top turns into dry and not ordinary. (think of this occurring to your clit). to that end removing much extra sensitivity from the penis making intercourse, masturbation, and orgasms much less relaxing. I restored my foreskin non-surgially final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and doubled my sensitivity and elevated my get excitement from intercourse. My orgasms are additionally plenty longer and extreme and that i'm no longer able to even get returned a hundred% of what I lost so as that shows basically how plenty circumcision takes from a guy. i do no longer techniques what human beings chosen to do with their bodies, I do inspite of the undeniable fact that techniques whilst human beings think of they have a ideal to decrease up somebody elses. each guy could get to chosen what he needs, no longer have issues taken from him without consent. -Connor

I do not agree with circumcision. I think it is painful and unnecessary. Parents who have their little boys circumcised are stupid. They say it is necessary and does not hurt, but tell me this, have you ever seen what does on during circumcision? The baby is in a tremendous amount of pain and is screaming and crying the whole time. The American Association of Pediatrics has not recommended circumcision since 1991.
