now it has actually transformed into a look, a mood, a style, .. etc.. its disgusting.... EMO comes from EMOtional... emo is also a kind of music... flippin lame emos making this crap... EMO>>>>> i cant show my face because i think im ugly EMO>>> are LOSERS!@@@@!!!! BEBE is wrong the chick at the top who answered the question she doesnt know EMO... EMo is more than that plus emo is not just you shop at hot topic... or wear black and white... i wear black and white what the helll..... !!! lol i sound emo lol jajaja

Emo (noun) 1. one who has a hatred for many aspects in life and is not happy with who they are, people who are emo tend to abuse themselves and wear dark clothing to prove that they hate the world.

MY OPINON:
Emo people think they are cooler than everyone else Because they were tight pants and have short, boy haircuts. they wear too much makeup and look like clowns. You've probably seen a lot!

this means emotional. This means you don't like how your life is going. You listen to rock music . And you are sad a lot.You shop at hottopic. You wear vans.You also wear a lot of black or white

yup i agree with bebe...and i'll add a few things. emos also want attention and sometimes slit their wrists...poor things.
