If you werre to die a horrible un-natural death, would you prefer to know it your whole life, do you think it would make it easier to know that one day you would be shot or strangled or maybe a traffic accident?

I came up with this question because of the case of Jodi Heisentruit from Mason City, Iowa. She is a missing news anchor and recently a woman came forward claiming she was there when Jodi died and that it was at the hands of 6 men who impaled her on a hook and tortured her. Its horrible story whether its true or not, you can read about it on findjodi.com

If, per-say, I were to be mauled to death slowly by wild dogs I would no want to know the rest of my life. I rather it been sort of a shock as they are tearing me apart limb from limb.

Your question reminded me of the cyclops in the movie Krull. His people once had 2 eyes and made a deal with "The Beast" to gain the ability to see the future if they sacrificed an eye to him, but they were tricked. The only future they were allowed to see was that of their own death and if they did anything to try and change their future they would die more horribly than they were supposed to.

Since you didn't specify a "more horrid" consiquence like the cursed cyclops, I'd say yes... I'd like to know my whole life. We never really know which people and moments in our lives are the most valuable until it is too late. If I knew when and how I was going to die I'd be able to concentrate on what's really important, cherish the important people and moments, ignore the usual stressful bull**** society tells us is supposed to be important, then try change things to avoid the situation of my unnatural death. Even if I couldn't change things I'd at least be sure that I did not waste my time on the unimportant things.

I have no fear of death so it wouldn't make a difference one way or the other. I wouldn't be all stressed about it or anything. Death is just the first step to the new life you get on the other side. There is nothing to fear.
