Never skipped work, but have called in sick when I wasn't. Did it cause my supervisor was a jerk.

Never "skipped work " but in the past called in sick, when I needed to ( we accumulated so many sick day a month) and I always used mine to be well !

Not since I was in my 20s & no, I didn't get in trouble but I felt terrible for lying so I didn't do it twice.

sure - it's one of the benefits of being the boss - I can flex my schedule! Makes up for 14 hour days!
