Reasons why Florida deserves to be #2 and play Ohio State for the national championship
1. 12-1 record (8-1 record in the SEC, best conference in college football)
2. Florida won it's conference
3. There is no such thing as a good loss
4. Florida won it's last game
5. Florida was 3-1 against ranked teams, Michigan 1-1
6. Florida had the toughest schedule in the country based on winning percentage
7. Florida played Division 2 Western Carolina and won 62-0, Michigan played what-should-be Division 2 Ball State and only won by 8.
8. Michigan scored a garbage touchdown with 2 minutes left against Ohio State making the score closer than the game actually was. They also gave up 500 yards of total offense.
9. Michigans best win was against #7 Wisconsin, who has beaten a total of 0 Top-25 teams
10. Michigan already had a chance to prove its worth and lost to Ohio State, there is no need to see a rematch, we already know the outcome
Still think Michigan should be #2? Think again

Einstein, what an ironic name, because obviously you are an idiot. Wisconsin will get murdered by Arkansas. There is no way in hell that the Big 10 stacks up with the SEC team by team. You are either: a) dillusional, b) watch no college football, or most likely c) a biased OSU supporter.
Florida is better than you think.
And outside of Michigan, who did OSU beat? Texas? Certainly not the Texas we're used to. All I'm saying is that the Championship game is not going to be a blowout.
My prediction- 27-20 UF

Yeah, it is pretty sad that Michigan's best argument is about a LOSS! They really lost by 11 like you pointed out and Florida was actually ahead by 1 late in the 4th until an Auburn 3 pointer and a fumble on a last ditch hook-n-ladder play by Florida. If Wilbur had just taken the sack on the punt we would have won, b/c our D did not give up a touchdown all game.

The fact of the matter is that Michigan did nothing to earn a spot in the championship game except beat a bunch of unranked teams on a cupcake schedule. Florida wins the championship. Insteretingly enough if you look at the Georgia-Florida rivalry history you'll see Georgia claims one more win then Florida claims loss...Florida refuses to acknowledge the Georgia win, I suggest that if Ohio State does win, Florida refuse to acknowledge the win. Simply put the SEC will hold both the basketball championship and the football championship at the same time this season.

This is why college football NEEDS a playoff. I think we can all agree on that, can't we?
Anyway, rankings are all about timing. Think about it: If Michigan lost to Ohio State on the same day that Florida lost their only game of the year, the voters would likely choose Michigan.
Come on, that Mich-Ohio St. game was awesome. You know you want to see a rematch! BTW, the SEC being the toughest conference is STRICTLY AN OPINION. Don't forget that the Big 10 had two teams in the top 2 spots for a while.

Keep holding on to your dreams! I admire what a big Gator fan you are, and that's great but take off your goggles brother! The best GAME would be Michigan vs. OSU. UF will get hammered by OSU and Michigan would at least play 'em close, maybe even win. I don't pull for ANY of these teams so I want to see the best GAME possible to see who wins the National Championship. Florida vs. OSU is just not it. Sorry

wow i agree wit this guy. only mich best win was against notre dame. but i totally agree. there is no way wisconsin will win against whichever SEC opponent is put up against them, they might have a chance running behind their tackle Thomas. wow wouldnt it be great if all big 10 teams lose their bowl games so these "the BIG 10 is the best conference" supporters will just shut up. no im not a SEC fan im more of a Longhorn fan. what would of happened if texas beat osu in the rematch of last year. then who would had gone to the bcs bowl game. now thats a question.

Well I must admit you made some very solid points and after reading this I would say you are correct. The debate will go on forever and the naysayers will always be out there. The bottom line is the majority picked Florida and they will be playing for the national championship and it is their game to win or lose.

It's not so much Florida vs Ohio State as it is Meyers vs Tressel. In college, more often than not, the coach wins the game when you have, more or less, equal talent. It is even more evident when looking at Charlie Weis. Notre Dame always has top talent, yet Weis can't win the big game. And he won't last in South Bend if he continues this way.

The Big Ten is the best academic/athletic conference in the nation. The SEC needs a "semi-pro" division of their own in the NCAA.
And yes, we still think Michigan should be ranked #2. Let's hear what you say after facing Troy Smith and the boys.
We WILL be around at the end of Bowl Season, as basketball season will be in full swing.
