Sealers don't work on head gaskets. You won't know what you need until you get in there and see what happened.
Make sure you also check the head and block for warpage.

NO, I repeat, NO! Head gaskets are a one shot deal. If you put a new one on and for what ever reason, you have to remove the Head again, you should replace with a "new" gasket. As far as the seal trick you want to try, probably won't work. Too much sealer will distort or split the gasket by hydraulic presser. Get the manual and follow the replacement processor religiously!
PS. It's not a boat>.

No man, get that thing out and throw it away as fast as you can and put a new one in it reusing a blow and worn out head gasket is not the way to do it. It will give more problems and might even ruin the head itself by allowing so much heat build up and warping the head and you will be swearing a lot i would bet lol

Sure you can try sealer but it's only a bandaid solution.
Stump up the 45 and go for a new gasket.

You would be putting a LOT more than $45 at risk trying to reuse a head gasket. If your coolant got into your oil, you would be in big trouble (money wise).

if a new one is 45 to propper grind the old one out will probably be more than the 45 in time and effort ad you would be less likly to be happy with the results so go new if theres a problem you still have a warenteed part

No,if you don't get a new one today you will be getting a new one after you put everything back together. All that work would be a waste of time.
