We lock our house up at night as our neighborhood has had break ins lately. What can you suggest without leaving the door unlocked?

That was the old santa, the new one can click his fingers & have the presents magically put under your xmas tree.
Old santa had been questioned by police too many times cos they didn't know if he was a thief breaking in or escaping. It's a lot safer now cos he sits at home with Mrs Claus cos she gets lonely. I also think Rudolph went in for a nose operation. The flashing red light affects his sinuses.

With Christmas Magic of course!!!! In different country Santa Comes according to how that country believes. In Holland, By the front door to leave coal or gifts in shoes that are put out the front door with hay in them for the reindeer. You should check at your library on stories of Santa in them you will know .

Well...he knocks on the door of course. Unless you live in a cave, and in that case, he just walks right in. He's Santa, pretty much the God of Christmas Cheer and Joy, and therefore he can do whatever he chooses. Don't like it? Tough luck, just don't expect any presents.

didn't you watch the Santa Claus movies,chimneys and fireplaces appear out of nowhere once he lands on the roof.

Firstly, santa claus is not real. The story is based on a real person but he never came down any chimneys. A society should be aware of each other, enemies or friends. The best defense is better communities. The type/s that are concerned about each other because it affects them too. Crooks hate attention some kind of noise that would alert someone, preferably the cops.
