The dipstick seems a little sticky when i check the oil, the coolant has a leak somewhere, but the oil has never shown any sign of the "milkshake" look associated with coolant and oil mixing, so i dont think its that, should i flush the engine and whats the best stuff to use, im not using diesel fuel, and whats the best oil, ive been using castrol 5w or 10w-30, earlier i changed the oil and used castrol syntec blend 5w-30, which i will be using in my car next oil change

Stay with 5w/30, thicker oils will gum up more in your model year, flush with Motor Flush available at any major auto parts outlet (follow instructions). Unfortunately, it sounds like you have a head gasket leak.....verify by pulling dipstick and dripping on a hot exhaust manifold.....if it steams a little....it had water or coolant in it.....clear oil will just wick in the pore of the manifold. A mechanic can tell you for sure - compression check.

do you drive a lot of short trips ? sounds like it does not get a chance to get up to temperature 5w-30 castrol synthetic is a good oil , go on a highway trip for an hour or so to get that gunk vaporised.
