I just took a bunch of vitamin pills and it feels like one of them went down my trachea (wasn't ready to swallow yet and it just went down). I didn't really choke but it felt funny going down. Now my throat feels kinda weird but I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it or what.

Will it digest/melt if it DID go down my breathing tube or will it cause me trouble?

Er, I meant windpipe. The sort of residual feeling is still there but it isn't hurting me in any way.

You would have choked.

It's possible, but I don't think that was what happened. If something got in your trachea you would be in severe respiratory distress and you would spike a fever within a half hour. So if that does happen, call 911, because it will be life-threatening

if it feels weird, it might still be stuck in your throat or something. you could try drinking water or eating something to make it go down. but i dont think it could go down your trachea becuase theres a flap that blocks things from going down there and it only opens when you breathe to let air in.
