Honestly, not really. Sienna is going to fade from living memory when the famous actress with that name becomes not-so-famous. As to what it actually means, either a town in Italy (Siena) or a rusty red-brown color, not a particularly charming or feminine association. Pearl is kind of elderly-sounding. Most of those gem names (Pearl, Ruby, Diamond, Jewel, etc) make me think of either a blousy grandmother or an old-fashioned lady of the night like Belle Watling in "Gone with the Wind."
Research on names suggests that a classic name (like Katherine, Jessica, Christopher, or John) is an advantage to a child. Trendy names or invented names suggest a lack of sophistication on the part of the parents.
Mind you, there are lots of unusual names I like, but I would only give one to a child as a middle name, probably right behind Katherine for a girl or Christopher for a boy. Our kids don't need social disadvantages either in the schoolyard or on their resumes further down the line.

I like the name Sienna. That was one of the names we had picked out for a little girl. However, we had the middle name as either Grace or Riley. Hope this helps.

I like Sienna, but I'm not fond of Pearl. I've heard of a few people with that middle name, but it seems like an older woman's name to me. I think it's pretty though, if you like it. Just my opinion.

ive seen Sienna way to much.
it will go the way of the Jessica's, Jennifer's, Michelle's, Amber's etc etc.
here is the RANK that Sienna is in for 2005..it will be higher for 2006.
http://www.behindthename.com/top/search.php?extra=p&terms=Sienna
i'd SKIP that and find something elegant and less common.
Pearl is darling!
