my friend kate and her mom just had a huge fight , she can't stop crying and her mom kicked her out she at her grandmas house but her mom told her she was a mistake and she wishes she never had her can you tell me somethings to tell kate b/c i don't kno how to comfort her

I would tell her, that no child is a mistake, God wanted her on this earth and that is why she is here. Sometimes people say things they don't mean when they are angry, even moms. I do not agree with what her mom said at all and I would never say that to my kids no matter how mad I was. Her mom might be going through her own problems right now too, so she is taking it out on her daughter. Just tell her she is a special person, and you care about her, and "THIS TOO SHALL PASS". When things calm down, hopefully her mom will talk to her and let her know that she was not a mistake and that she does love her. Just give things time to cool off.

Try to console her and tell her that she probably said it out of anger. When parents say that it is sometimes out of anger, Some mean it but you have to look at it from her point of view. She was mad and also Have a talk with her and actually see why she said that. If it is true then her mom and her need to have a talk. But other than that I would take that one easy because it is a pretty sensative issue.

Well, let her know that you think her mom is a turd. Tell her that you find her to be worthwhile, valuable, a good friend, and you are glad in her life. Also, suggest that she get some help from a counselor or therapist. You can't make her feel better and she has a right to her feelings. She needs to feel badly and grieve her loss. There is help for her.

Your friend is never a mistake.She is Born for a reason like everyone else.All you can do wright know is be there for her when she needs you.If she said she don't want to talk wright know don't make her.Gust lend a should for her to cry on.Gust be there for her and grandma.They would need a Friend.good luck and have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy new Year.

that mother should be reported! that is emotional abuse. you should let kate know that you will support and help her in any way that you can. just be there for her.
i had a daughter when i was young in single, and even when she became a teen and started rebelling against me, i never thought that she was a mistake. i love her and always will.

Alot of kids are mistakes its part of life,her mom shouldnt been opening her legs to whoever, but her mom might of said that cuz she was really made,ell her dont let anybody bring her down

It is not a mistake that she is friends with you. It is not a mistake that she is a good friend with you.
She is a great person and maybe her mom is mean but she is here now and you will help her out.
That sucks...

Go and see her mum and ask her why she said it as you are upset about it as well. She might be an adult but even she might be afraid to face you after what she said about your best friend. She might find it easier to explain it to you and realise that you're only sticking up for your friend.
