Yes, Florida is currently ranked #2 in the country, but that is only temporary. On January 8th they will be ranked #1. Ohio State has never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game.

Well, I think Florida is not the #2 team. I think #2 has to be Michigan. Whether you want to see a rematch or not, the only team that Michigan lost to was Ohio St. 42-39. With such a close loss to the #1 team, they warrant another shot. Florida lost to Auburn, another great team, but nowhere near the caliber of OSU. And Boise State does not have a hard enough schedule to be in the hunt for the national championship. Top-ranked teams don't want to play WAC teams. The benefit of beating them isn't worth the risk of losing to them. Therefore, their schedule is weak.

Michigan should be #2.

Another reason there should be a playoff. It's the only true way to find out who is the best team. As far as Florida being #2. Even though they lost I think USC is better than Florida or Michigan.

This poor decision will certainly contribute to the demise of the BCS. The sooner the better. Playoffs are necessary, and are the only way to measure Intermountain West teams like Boise State.
This year the national championship will remain mythical, not real, because of the ridiculous matchups.

Yes, Florida is the #2 team and has earned the right to play for the national title.

Yes!

I think that you have to win your conference to be able to play for the National Championship. Just like when Auburn got hosed in the 2004 season, went undefeated through the SEC schedule and didn't play for the NC, ended up playing, and barely squeaking by Virginia Tech 16-13 in the Sugar Bowl. Don't be full of yourself Big Ten fan, not alllllll of the country wants to see you.

Ohio State is probably the best team. Florida is a title contender on paper only IMO. Boise State? Not sure why they recieved a BCS bid.

Shows how screwed the BCS is.

We will never know until they put a playoff tree in!!! Top 10 or 16 teams and play it out . That is the only way we will know.
