Shino have a hard past. Being part of a bug clan is not helping

Please don't give the points so somebody who copy and pasted from Wikipedia. Personally, Shino is one of my favorite Naruto characters, along with Lee and Shikamaru. Most people don't like Shino because
1) He does not normally express emotion.
2) He's not enough of a heartthrob for fangirls to throw themselves at.
3) People associate insects with insignificance.
4) People find his strong, silent nature unnerving and creepy.
However, he is one of the most impressive characters in the series and has not lost a single battle throughout the run of the series, an honor not even Kakashi can claim. Shino has the intellect and the raw strength to defeat powerful enemies like Zaku and Kankuro while barely breaking a sweat and is an excellent tracking and espionage shinobi. My theory is that Kishimoto excluded Shino from the Rescue Sasuke arc because he would've defeated his opponent with relative ease.

ABOUT SHINO ABURAME:
Shino Aburame (油女ã·ã, Aburame Shino?) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto.
"Shino" is the given name of the samurai Inuzuka of Hakkenden, a novel about a dog samurai. Aburame (油女) means "Oil woman" and the complete name "Aburame Shino" bears a close resemblance to the Japanese word for cockroach, aburamushi (æ²¹è«).

Because not every character in naruto is awesome in the eyes of viewers. Its a mixed world consisting of mixed haters and likers. Of course if youre meaning why people make fun of him IRL. Cause i dont see him being made fun of in the anime.

maybe because we they see him always serious and sometimes no emotion.
those people who makes fun of him doesn't know how to appreciate a person's inner side... and he's cute (even hot)...

he is one of the best characters, but i guess he is made fun of since he is quiet and kind of a loner, but he kicks serious butt which makes him the best
