i mean seal, the nigerian musician, y does he have a scar? what happened. i tried to look it up online but i found nothing. can anyone pls tell me?

it is scarring from a form of lupus he has

I heard a rumor YEARS ago (back from when he first came out) that the scars were a result of some type of tribal ritual. As to if this is true, I don't know.

He had some kind of childhood illness that left the marks, but I can't remember what illness it was...I read about it some years back...
