The term "first philosophy" appears first in Aristotle. Aristotle has an alternative name for this, which is metaphysics which is used to present day.

It goes without saying that a clearly distinguished bold reformer of cultural or ethical traditoin, comes out with some new ideas - which would be an antithesis of the one already established creed.
Buddha propounded his truths in direct contrast to many established theories and practices.
