The barista is there to help you! Let your barista know that you don't know what you want. He or she will help you choose something based on your flavor preferences, whether you want something with coffee, and whether you want something hot or cold. We love making suggestions.
If they are not busy, it is totally acceptable to ask for a sample, especially of the coffee that is brewed.
If you like sweet drinks with coffee, try a caramel white mocha.

Mocha with a shot of valencia ~ it tastes like the chocolate orange sticks... mmm yummy. You can also get a mocha frap when it is warm out and add a shot to it. If you get a venti, get two shots so you can taste it.
ha, ha, i was tying my answer while someone else put they think you can't get it. Well, it is available in cali and indiana i know for sure.

I like to order a white mocha,nonfat,no whip,w/carmel latte.
At one time my favorite was a mocha valencia(non fat of course!)you had to be on the inside track of starbucks to order one of these since it was'nt an advertised flaoveo or drink. But I think they have since stopped offering the valencia flavoring!
