I know its a small town and I was just curious as to where the closest train station or airport might be???

The closest major airport is Portland International, on the Northeast side of Portland along the columbia river. There may be flights from there to Salem, a regional airport, but I don't know. there are, however, van shuttles from Portland airport to various points south.
There is an Amtrak station in downtown Portland, and one in downtown Salem. The train also stops in Oregon city, but it's just an unmanned station stop ... no serivices.

I guess it depends on where you are coming from... if it's not that far, train or bus might be okay, but if you're coming a ways then I'm guessing you'll fly. You don't want to fly into Salem (tiny airport... flying into there would be really expensive)! Canby is pretty much between Salem and Portland so go with PDX (the Portland airport). It's not more than 30-45 minutes away.
