Help with Greek Mythology - Underworld?

Question

OK... I need to write a paper on the underworld. What should I talk about and where can I find some websites about it?

Umm...you could talk about the gods of the underworld, such as Hades and Persephone. You can also talk about the residents, such as Cerberus and Charon. Maybe you can talk about its geography, such as the River Styx. You can find a LOT about the underworld by going to: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_underworld...or other research sites. Hades was/is god of the Underworld in Greek Mythology, he was the son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea.
Hades received the Underworld for his realm when his brother gods, Zeus and Poseidon, received dominion of the sky and sea. Hades is the enemy of all life, gods, and men. Since nothing will sway him, he is rarely worshiped. Here are the three main stories of the Underworld featuring Hades -- with Heracles, Persephone, and Theseus.

look up Hades, Persephone, and try Dante's Inferno for more on the Underworld. The River Styx will bring up more, as will the travels of Odysseus from The Odyssey. The story of Persephone is very good, as it tell the story of why we now have seasons. (Hint: she ate the seeds from a pomegranate)
