Everything is absolutely correct except for #5.
1) 56
2) 700
3) 300
4) 480
5) 400 <---
6) 880
7) 300
In #5, did you mean 5%? If so your answer to #5 is correct. If you meant 53% as typed, the answer is 400.
212 = 0.53 * n
212 / 0.53 = n
21200 / 53 = n
400 = n

If that's the only kind of math that you'll ever do, you'll never get to the fun stuff.
I really didn't want to do the tedious checking but I wanted to comment and I'll show you how I'd check without a caculator
75% is 3/4 which is easy to multiply
3/4 * 56 3*14 = 42, see I can divide by 4 and then mult by 3
5*7 = 35, just need to make sure the decimal's right
4*3 =12
3/4 * 480 = 3*120 = 360
gotta just do this one!
10 % of 4240 = 424
div by 2: 212
now, 3*424= 1272-> 12.7
add em
224.7 xxxx
3/4 of 880 = 3* 220 = 660
8*3 = 24
so, it looks like one might be wrong.

You are doing pretty good! I agree with all your answers EXCEPT 212 is 53% of ______. If the 212 and 53 are the right numbers, then the answer is 400.
TO get the answers, look at the steps as:
42 = .75x (express the percentage as a decimal, and x is the number you are seeking)
To find x, divide each side by .75:
42/.75 = x
42/.75 = 56
Follow the same steps for each problem.

You only messed on one. The way to do them was to take the number and divide it by the percent.

to make it easier, multiply the number by the inverse of the percent--find the fraction of the percentage, then switch the top and the bottom numbers (if you cant find a percent, just do the number over 100) then multiply the new fraction by the number

These all look right except for 212. I got 400 for that one.
The great thing about math is that if your answer looks wrong, it probably is. 212 is half of 424, so you know 4240 is impossible. (Of course, that might be a typo.) Since you're looking at 53%, which is slightly more than half, your answer has to be a little less than 424.

All are right except 212 is 53% of... Since you got the others right, you probably mis-typed it. Actually it works for 5%
