Name it what ever you want.
It would be nice if you people out there would stop and think about what you say and do for just a few seconds.
I keep seenin the statement what would you name a bably or what is a good name for a babby.
Babies are only babies for a short time and then have to spend many years as something other than a cute little toy.
Find a good name for the person that will help them succede.
Yes names do make a difference.
As for the name you have presented I do not know. It depends on the names around the new person.

Elijah is my sons name. But we decided to choose a more common middle name to balance it out. Elijah Ryan. We call him Ryan because everyone calls him Eli (which we can't stand) and a lot of people mispronounce it as E-lige-ah (even after we correct them plenty of times). Definatly go with a more common middle name though. Or keep Amir and go with a more common first name.

Are you arab?
Amir is an arab name and means " prince"
Is not a bad name, if you accompany it with a last name as Al - gazawi....or...El -sabah..or El- mallah.
So, as i dont know what ur last name is, i cant give you my opinion.
The only thing i can tell you, is that i think that kids has to be named according to their last names.
You cant put a boy Jhonatan with an spanish last name as Perez.
Or put Myshka (male name) that is russian with an english last name.
Think about that.
Good luck
