Okay I just wanna know if this is something that other people do. I think its weird. alot of my thought patterns revolve around patterns. Like I'll walk on the sidewalk and count how many steps I take in each square. and then something compells me to take that many steps in each square even if I have to speed up or slow down. I dont step on cracks in the sidewalk. One time I walked into math class and there was a bunch of numbers written on the board and when I looked at them I started to add them all up in my head and then multiply them. and then I took those numbers and divided them.Or if I see a long number like 1,563,233 I'll take all the digits and add them up like 1+5+6 ect.... Its something I cant control. I'll always try to find a pattern in something like if I see a bunch of windows on a building I'll try to group them together. I just wanna know if other people do this and if this is like a specific condition. It drives my parents crazy and me also!

Not weird, just unusual. There are many people, mostly creative, that share this trait. This usually helps you when sorting and arranging differences. You are probably a whiz at Tetris. Dont worry about your differences, everything about you will come to good use sometime in your life. Enjoy.

Whoa, me too! I do it mainly with numbers-for some reason I also have favorite numbers that if somethings doesn't add up (like the price on a product i'm looking to purchase) to what I like -I'll leave it. Yea-it's weird.....

I do things like this too. If there is a long word, I will split it in half and see what words I can make from each half.
I think it's a little OCD, but oh well.

This is perfectly normal. Everyone has certain idiosyncracies. I seriously doubt it is obsessive-compulsive disorder. To have this disorder it has to be very personally distressing to you and something that consumes your every day thought processes. Don't sweat it...unless it seriously bother's you, you're fine!

Classic obsessive compulsive behaviour - be careful not to let it consume your life - seek some counselling if you like - but above all just relax.
