i think it`d be better to have 1 best friend. because even though you and your best friend will get in some arguements, you know that she`s/he`s your best friend when you guys get over it, and everything goes back to normal. i have like 5 really good friends, but it`s not always great. sometimes, our other best friends wouldn`t get along, or some drama always comes. i had 1 best friend in 8th grade, but when we went to different schools we always kept in touch and still hung out, and that`s really a good friendship to have, that one person you can always talk to no matter what.

20 good friends definately. There's a high chance that they may become closer and you may get a best friend out of them.
It's also good to have options for different opinions, and if you are feeling bad towards one one day, you can talk to another person and wait for the heat to cool down with the other.

My experience on this is to have as many good friends as you can. The best of them will manifest and you can eliminate the false as time goes by. You will know who they are and believe me, good friends are precious! As to one best friend, this would be more of a confident and of course occupy a special place in your life. If you are referring to a best friend as someone who will be possessive of your attention, I would say, beware of one that says that!... Never let your good friends behind for one best friend. If this person is genuine and sincere, he or she will accept your good friends. Not necessarily like them all but respect your choice and be happy for you.
This could be different for you because it is a personnal choice. Don't you think, 21 good friends are better than just one ?...
I am blessed with many friends and thank God for them.

Definetely 1 best friend. One best friend can do so much for you, and you know that they will never leave you. Good friends come and go, but best friends are for life.

1 best friend is better then 20 good friends because if you have 20 friends they can all turn on you. They may be faking their friendship but if you have one best friend then he/she is probably sincere about your friendship and won't turn his/her back on you.

ONE best friend and 20 other/good friends! you can trust ur best friend and tell her anything you want even if it's about ur other friends u know you can always trust her! she'll love yah like a sister and your other friends will love u alot if u have one good friend........it depends what u want to have.......so pick both if u like it!
