I'm still trying to quit. Not much success on that though. I stopped before when I found out I was with a baby. Now I'm worried - do I have to get pregnant again so I could successfully quit?

I still smoke - I used to smoke almost 2 packs a day, but since then I have cut back. I now only smoke 1 pack every 3 days, and I feel better for it. The doctor tells me I could quit anytime I want to, but the truth is that I know I'm addicted - but I CONTROL IT, not the other way around.
My wife on the other hand has been cigarette free for over a year and a half (19 months this month). She quit smoking when she first found out she was pregnant with our son. And since I have trained myself to smoke outdoors only (REMEMBER THIS WOMEN - MEN CAN BE TRAINED...I WAS) it's easier for her to tolerate my bad habit.

On August 21 1996 I asked God to take away the desire to smoke and I have not smoked since or even wanted a cigarette.

Yeah, I would like to know too. I have breathing problems and I have tried cold turkey, patches and every thing I can think of, but after 40 years of smoking, it is so hard.

Sorry, not me. I don't have any plans to do so in the near future either. Most of my friends that quit have had the most success with going cold turkey though. That might help if you really want to stop.

Cold Turkey. It was hard as hades but I started having breathing problems that my doctor diagnosed as asthma and that forced me to stop immediately. Even now if I'm really stressed I'll want a cigarette so bad.

Smoking always bothered me anyway so I quit simply by not buying the next pack.

My bf quit when we found out I was pregnant with our son who is now 1 year old and still no smoking. You just have to set your mind to do it.
