Blocks are always good, the giant Lego's (not the little ones), stuffed animals or toys, girls: dolls, boys: plastic truck. Just make sure every thing is age appropriate, usually says, and has nontoxic paints or colours.
Just did a search on Yahoo for "toys for two year olds". Got many results check it out.

When we were kids we had tons of fun with an old refrigerator box and a few crayons. Hmm, now that I think back on it, I feel a bit slighted...

i'd say weebles 2 to 3 year old love rolling things up and down plus it gives them the privelage of putting them in planes cars trains ect.
