In the United States people have certain rights. One of them is that people have the ability to go where they want, when they want, any way they can as long as it is in a legal manner (no hitchhiking, stealing cars, etc.)
Your wife is legally her own entity and not anyone's property, not yours, not her parent's, once she has reached the age of 18. She can go where she wants, when she wants, whenever she wants to, and with whomever she wants to with only her own conscience as her guide. This is called freedom, and she is now enjoying one of the benefits. Does not matter if you are legally separated or not.

it first depends on the age of the child and I think different states may be different. In South Carolina no,a child cannot leave the state without the o.k. on the other spouse I would see a lawyer before anything else happens. I have been there and done that.

You may be a control freak, but you're not her owner or her keeper. She's a free person in a free country, so she can go wherever she wants, whenever she wants, and she doesn't have to tell you or anyone else a damned thing.
