A tour guide accompanies people on trips and gives a running commentary about places buildings and people ie facts

Haven't had a dose off a tour guide nor do I intend to, but basically they are hired by the Travel Agency or the Bus Company to host and direct travellers, usually tourists, on specific routes and destinations. They must speak the language of those tourists, for example Japanese, in order to explain to them the various merits of the local attractions and amenities.

Oh my God i've just read your previous questions. Your trying to get a course on travel & tourism, and you don't know what a tour guide is !!!!! ha ha

he interprets the place , building or whatever . So for instance if you were showing a bunch of swedish tourists round the Vatican. You would explain, in Swedish, just exactly what they were looking at. And the history, what the artworks mean, who painted them etc.
You also have to get them back to the bus on time, let them go to the toilet, etc etc.

my mate did it in Ibiza for a couple of years, & from his stories they get pissed, have fun, have lots of dirty sex, & generally enjoy themselves, with drunken holidayers.
