Well, what makes America so unique is the fact that everyone living in it has the absolute freedom to say or do whatever they want. Also, the fact that in this country there is no limit to what one wants to accomplish. You can become whatever you want to be because America gives you the resources you need...education. Unlike these third world countries, where one struggles just to make it through to the end of the day, here in America we are so well off that we even have the resources needed to keep a well stable family. Christmas is coming up soon, how many people out here, kids ok, want a freaking ipod, PS3, cell phone, MP4, and all this high tech crap? My 7yr old lil brother wants an MP4 plus a DS game! Do you honestly think a 7yr old living in a third world country evens knows what the hell an MP4 or DS game is? No because that kid doesn't have the freedom or the money or support to get that MP4 or DS game. You know what makes America unique...we give hope to those that believe there is none.

every country is unique, they have their own history , culture, economics and geography.
the only thing that makes them unique is the attitude that they think that they can dictate their view point to the rest of the world and that they think that they know better that the rest of the world on what the world need.
of course the rest of the world is cheesed off by them.
many countries think that they are just a school yard bully, only on a bigger scale.
the social implications are that the little people will fight in the only way that they know how- terrorism.
while i don't condone terrorism.
when you think of it , it make sense.
they don't have the armies, resources or the techonology to fight on an equal footing.
let's put it this way, how would you feel if someone came to your home, killed your parents saying that they were bad parents(even if it was true.)and they took over your life, tell what you can and can't do, "for your own good".
initialy you may welcome them ,but after a while you will resent them, especially when you're grown up and they are still doing it.
while America has done a lot of good,
they also have done evil in the name of good.

God bless,
gabe

The first amendment alone could provide the answer to that question. Unrivaled freedoms. Our freedom to oppose our govt, to acquire wealth, the lack of a formal class or caste system, etc.

As to those who want to rant about this country thinking it's better than other countries: As Brian Tracy, who has traveled the world giving business seminars has said: Our country is the only country in the world that has the word 'dream' after it. There's no Japanese Dream, no German Dream, no French Dream, no English Dream, no Brazilian Dream; There's only the American Dream. That's why people will do whatever they can to come to our country - to acheive the American Dream of success, because only in this country can ANYONE come here, penniless, and in a few year's time become a millionaire.

God Bless America!

I think we have a unique sense of individualism and independance, that isn't thought highly of in most countries. Unique from other nations in that we really value cleanliness and efficiency. Fairness. Land of opportunities. also very friendly.
