ok she had sex with him and now she thinks she is pregant and he is 18 she is not going to tell her parents and she is going to take the abortion pills what do they do? do they work like a real abortion? and how can i help her...... oh yea she is 13 HELP!!!!!

she really shouldnt take the abortion pills(if she can even get them) abortion is a big deal and she is to young to deal with something like this on her own. First she needs to really find out if she is really pregnant from a doctor.. Then she really needs to let her parents know so they can help her decide what her options are and what is best for her. You just need to be there for her and be her support.,

I just wanted to say that I am not for or against abortion but if you are talking about the morning after pill it works within 72 hours not 48. I agree that she should talk to her parents. Even if she is pregnant and does decide to get an abortion then she will need as much support before and after she does it. It really would be a life changing experience maybe for the better or worst but I know that many emotions follow something that serious and life altering.

Yes the pill works just like an abortion, but I wouldn't say the pill is a good thing to take. I've gotten an abortion before and I'd rather go thru that then to take the pill because at least when you leave the place you are done. Because your friend is so young, she must go see a real doctor. Hopefully she will confide in her parents, but if she's too scared to do that then there are free clinics in almost every city. She's too young to know what effect the abortion pill will have on her. Most likely she's not pregnant anyway, probably just nervous and feeling guilty. If you can't remember anything else, please remember and tell all of your friends to learn to use condoms. That way not only is there a much lesser chance of worrying about becoming pregnant, but you can greatly reduce the chance of herpes, aids, crabs and other std's.

She should have a home pregnancy test before she does anything like that.......
the abortion pill is not always effective I would not take my chances with it.....
If she is pregnant she should have a regular abortion to make sure it's 100 percent effective!!!!
the doctors who do it are very understanding and confidential and take great care when performing the termination........
tell your friend to use protection if she's going to be sleeping around with guys at her age... there are such things as aids and std's she should not take the risk at all, it's very foolish on her part
and the guys as well.........
she is ata very impressionable age and can easily be taken advantage of by guys who are only after one thing........
the guy should be disgusted with himself for even sleeping with a thirteen yr old girl she's just a child still, not good at all...

1) If he is 18 and she is 13, that is considered statutory rape.
2) Advise her not to get an abortion. It's true she's only 13, but she made a choice to have sex, and now she has to live with it. I'm not saying she should keep the baby or anything, but she can give it up for adoption. At 13, she's not ready to deal with a baby, but neither was she ready for sex. Adoption is a good choice because there are many good couples out there wanting to adopt a baby.

Wow! you are in a tough spot. If she wont tell her parents, a teacher she trusts, the school nurse or her doctor, then its up to you. If the boy is 18, then he could go to jail. Big decisions! Abortion pills have risks. She needs to make a choice that is safe for her. She could try a home pregnancy test. They can be accurate as early as one week after a missed period. Can you talk to the school nurse? I'm sure she doesn't want you to tell, but there are times when the best thing we can do for a friend is to tell an adult that we trust. The nurse can keep it quiet so she doesn't know that you spoke about this. I hope this helps you.

First off, your friend shouldnt be having sex. Secondly, when did this happen? If it was within the last 72 hours, then she can take the morning after pill. But in order to get it she needs to tell her parents, as it is only available through prescription for CHILDREN under the age of 18.

I suggest she tell her parents...I also suggest her boyfriend find a GREAT lawyer because they don't give "the abortion pill" to minors without parental consent and a doctor prescription, and her "boyfriend" is going to be charged with stautory rape. The only way YOU can help her is to encourage her to tell her parents. There is nothing she can do as a minor that they won't find out about anyway.

If you get an abortion under 18, most doctors will make you tell your parents. The abortion pills might do a lot of things. Lot of ways to kill a fetus. Might make it stop undergoing meiosis or even make the immune system attack it. Maybe there are other methods, but I do no know of them.
