If it is a warranty issue, You have something to stand on. Unless it says you can only get 2 replacement Pumps, They must exchange the pump. Ask for the Manager, and if it is the store manager that is telling you this. Ask for a branch manager. I have seen fuel pumps go bad quickly. You never know when something that is electronic will go out.

If the fuel pump is running, you could have a loose or corroded electrical connection somewhere in the circuit. Start at the pump and trace the wires back. Remove every electrical plug and look closely for looseness or corrosion. Spray some electrical contact cleaner on both ends of each plug removed. Before you put the connection back together, coat the male contacts with electrical contact grease. This will exclude any future dirt or water. I would also check all the cars grounding straps. A corroded or loose ground causes many problems. Another good place to check is the fuel pump relay. If the car has a lot of miles on it, the relay contacts may be pitted causing the problem. Also, the oil pressure is the running signal for the fuel pump. If you have low or erratic oil pressure, the fuel pump relay may be cutting in and out.
You can get electrical contact cleaner and grease at most auto supply stores. Autozone should have it. It's also handy when you change light bulbs to clean and grease the sockets with the products I mentioned above.

if they have had to replace 2 then something else is going on. so no they don't have to replace it again, u need to get to the root of the problem. it could be the fuel relay, once u put the pump on , is it just not coming on? if thats the case then replace the fuel relay. if u put the pump on and it works for a period of time then i don't know what the problem could be

Document your issue. Ask to rent a fuel pressure gauge and measure the pressure and volume. If it is out of spec, show them. If it is within spec, look for the problem, NOT the symptom.
Is it electric pump or mechanical?
Have you checked the PCM for codes?
What does the fuel trim look like?
Have you replaced the fuel filter?
Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator for stability?

Good Luck and Merry Christmas
