My cousins live in North Carolina and my aunt and uncle live in Virginia. It really depends on what city it is. North Carolina has great places, but it's way too hot. If you don't like the hot, don't move to North Carolina. Virginia is a bit cooler and a bit more quiet I think. North Carolina isn't that cold in the Winter. But HOT in the Summer. Virginia is cold in the Winter and cool in the summer. Not super cold.

I grew up in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia. I have a lot of family in the Hampton Roads area. It's an alright place to live.

Never lived in either, but my state borders both (TN). Every place has its pros and cons.
