Im a sophomore in high school and I have to demonstrate ballet. What kinds of clothes should I demonstarte it in? And where can I get them?

dont get a leotard!!!!!!! get some stretchy pants and they sell those at macy's

Yoga pants or even gym shorts and a comfortable smaller t-shirt would be fine. You don't want something too baggy though because much of ballet depends on proper placement, turn out of the legs and foot positions and the class will need to be able to see the correct positions to get a better understanding of what it's all about.

I'd say, wear whatever you'd normally wear for your dance practice. If you think it's time to get some new dancewear, go to
http://dicountdance.com or http://allaboutdance.com and check men's practice clothes.
You might want to ask the teacher what did he mean by "costume" because to a dancer "costume" migt have a different meaning then to a non-dancer. When I'm asked to do a demonstration in costume, I always have to ask what do they mean to make sure. Do they mean my full competition costume with rhinestones and makeup with glitter, or they mean "no jeans, some decent-looking dance clothes".

Please done wear a leatard. Wear something more stylish. What song are you dancing. Is it something more modern or classical?? As long as you dont wear Jeans or anything too loose you should be fine with anything you feel comfortable it. maybe some stretch pants, with a wife beater and an unbuttoned "cool" shirt on top of it. The unbuttoned shirt with help you show the movement of the dance by moving with you. Again, it depends on what song you're dancing to as well.

costume? unless its a formal day .. else i think a sports bra and tights will be fine =)
