Ya know, Lou is my best friend. We go back a long way. We even played docto....never mind. So anyway, my girlfriends have told me that Lou can't come. I kinda understand caus his eating habits are kinda gross. What with picking his nose all the time and wiping it on the table. And he usually smells pretty bad too. But he is my friend. And besides Ole Ernie (that's my dog) isn't no Miss Manners either. But he's invited. Sure, he'll spent most the time with his head between his leggs licking and making huffing sounds. But they think that's OK. Even Lou doesn't do that.

Well... I guess he would if he could.

Should I just have him sit outside and throw food out the window to him? I don't want to hurt his feelings.

Just tell Lou that he's invited to eat at my Momma's place.. she loves his stink and they'll get along.....
most likely they'll end up begging outside your window anyway, i think her foodstamps will all be spent before Christmas!

Tell him the truth. Until he learns appropriate manners, he is not welcome to have dinner with your friends. His family may not be aware of the basics of manners and he therefor, never learned.

You can give him a crash course if you like. There may be an online website on manners.

Maybe Ole Ernie can teach Lou manners.

I would either lie to him by saying our whole family is coming over even some from out of state that i never see and i want to spend time with them and i can have you over after Christmas. Or have him over but make sure he takes a shower. Ive had an experience like that, and that's basically what i said.

maybe you could seat Lou and Ole Ernie together? It's a bit cold for him to be outside.

ooooh Jack's response kinda turned me on. I could just imagine him saying "Piss off" with a James Bond accent. Say it the way Jack says it. Make sure you get the accent right. You'll drive your lady friends wild.

Invite him anyway. That would be kinda rude if your best friend wasn't invited because of his smelly habits.

If he is your best friend then the others will have to deal with it...just give him a few pointers on etiquette before he eats!

Friend or not, tell him the truth, he will find out anyway from your girlfriend.
Just tell him to clean up his act and have a bath.
