assuming we are talking about $1,000,000...the I would run to my bank and open a high-yield savings acount with half of it. Deposit the other half into my checking account. Pay off my credit cards and house. Have a great Christmas with what is left.

Is it in a bank bag that says "Wells Fargo? Or just lying in the street? If just lying in the street I would take it home to see if there is any news about it and then come forward. If it is in a bank bag, I would probably get a sizable reward. I can;t just take it, I could not live with myself.

I would check to see if any was reported missing first, then I would take it to the police station and get a reciept showing that I had turned it in, then I would wait to see if anyone reported it missing. I believe it is 90 days. If no on reports it missing, I would claim it as the finder with the reciept.
Then I would pay tithing, buy me a small house, give each of my family some of it and give some to charities and save a little for myself.

Go on a shopping spree, give to the homeless, buy a new house, new car, and put some away for my kids college fund.

I would take it home and stash it, and over the next few years spend a little bit at a time, so that it doesn't look suspicious. Maybe get a new car one year, remodel my home the next year, ect...

Well, I'd take it first, and see if it was stolen or something. If it happened to come out of nowhere, I would keep it, otherwise I would turn it in, just so I don't get in trouble.

Scoop it into a huge garbage bag and donate it to charity...I'd only keep like a couple thousand for myself

I am all for keeping found money, but that much cash would have to either be fake, stolen from a bank, or drug money. I would give it to the cops.
