they stripped the makeup and spandex and went leathur with girls girls girls, 2 years before dude looks like a lady

I haven't seen any recent photos of Vince Neil but back in the day the whole band looked kinda girlish.

Keep in mind that this was back in 1989. At that time, all of the Crue looked like women. It wasn't meant as an insult, it was just kind of surprizing for that time.
