I think that you are in USA.
No, you are not the only country where pple can use a 2nd name.
Actually , I'm not from USA and have a middle name that is the only one i use always. I dont use my first name bcoz is HORRIBLE..I dont use its initial either.
Nowadays, pple is putting only one name.......and i agree with that

I am unsure which country you are in but I know the following have middles names - Australia, UK, America, NZ, Italy, Canada, Africa etc... It's an individual's choice!

We have middle names in Australia i think most countries have middle names i know that Italy does as well.

I do not think so, the Chinese have had middle names for the past 4000 years.

I'm from Germany nobody in my family has middle names but some of my friends do.its not that common though
