The EU and USA have to trade with China. Right now it is not possible to impose trade sactions with China, if either the EU or the US stopped trade it would hurt our countries much more than it would China. As China progresses into a modern economy and starts to close the income gap betwee its people life in that country will improve for its people. Unfortunately this is not a quick process and will take time, but once people have a taste of the good life its hard for them to give it up and right now with Chinas (partial-free) trade society people are finally starting to get a taste of the good life, which many Americans and Europeans take for advantage.

super spending. in the U. S., bail out distressed states, so they could rehire all the human beings they laid off, and have interaction in infrastructure progression and restore. that would decrease unemployment, and pump funds into the equipment. as quickly as we've severe employment, we are able to handle the debt (make the tax equipment innovative, removing many loopholes, and raising the ideal expenditures). In Europe, it quite is comparable. end the idiotic, counter-efficient austerity. The financial equipment can no longer recuperate if no one has any funds to spend. Now that human beings stay longer, initiate raising the retirement age. enforce a residing minimum salary. BTW, you may hear Paul Krugman communicate this, or examine his e book, examine his blog. "end the melancholy Now" is the call of his new e book. there is an interview with him on Democracy now could be website. a number of what i've got pronounced is from him.

i'm a chinese guy and i agree most of the point you made about the local government except 'one-child' policy. This is neither government's fault nor people's, if we don't control population here, not only our country will collapse but the rest of the world will also get into big trouble. Try to picturing more than 1,350,000,000 mouths need to be feed by others and you will know that this is the only way to keep people here from poverty and death. You guys should check the crowds here !

The sanctions would hurt us very badly. Stores like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Ikea, would all be out of business. I have been to China a few times and it isn't as bad as you might think. You have to remember that they have to deal with a lot more people than we do. Our system might not work for them.

I like the way you think!
The strange thing is that the US continues its ridiculous trade embargo on Cuba, yet offers China MFN trading status...like Cuba can compete with China's human rights abuses. Then there is China's rampant pollution since its industrialization. But ending trade with China won't happen anytime soon, since it is Walmart and their ilk that run this country.

Too late for that now! The USA and EU are totally dependent upon Chinese industry and workforce for the bulk of their manufactured goods!
Who's in the catbird seat now?
Human rights are "secondary" to the captains of industry, the former employers in the rust belt who fired everybody and moved their factories to China. And their pals in government whose re-election campaigns are financed by these non-Patriots.

From the beginning, good people like to share with others. Lesser freedom, poorer knowledge but very good sheep.
