For the first time in a long time, there is no clear cut #1 team. With that being said, if I had to choose, probably the Bears. The only thing is that Rex Grossman is terribly inconsistent.
And the best player is LaDainian Tomlinson. He is an explosive player who is going for the NFL single season TD record. Anytime he touches the ball, the play can be a TD. He is definitely the best.

best team right now would be the San Diego Chargers. Cannot stop Mr. Tomlinson.
Best player is an even easier question. From the Charges, Ladanian Tomlinson. 15 td's in 5 games is insane. he is about to break the single season touchdown record.

i think the chicago bears are the best team because of defense and special teams. they have two returns of at least 105 yards and last week they had a 45 yard punt return for touchdown. i think steve smith is the best player because he is exciting and can be involved in many trick plays like reverses.

the best team right now has got to be the chargers followed by the cowboys.the best player hands down is L.T.He's running away with the M.V.P. race and is the most dominate player and probably means the most to his team.

Well truth be told the "best team" wouls still be the Steelers.
They won it all last year, and we are not yet even to the playoffs this year. So no new champ means they are still technicaly the "best team".
And best player is, no doubt, LaDanian Tomlinson.
