What's more important is what YOU think. Not a bunch of strangers. If you think you're doing well you are. If you think you're doing poorly, you are. There's lots of people living on a lot less. I've heard of people who make millions say it wasn't enough and they were failures. I've heard people brag about making 8 bucks an hour. It sounds like you're making ends meet just fine on what you're earning. If that's the case, you're doing just fine! Is there a decent roof over your heads? Is there plenty to eat? Does everyone have clothes? Everyone and I mean everyone struggles with money from time to time regardless of income. It just doesn't seem that way because no one ever admits it. If that's enough for you, then it's more than enough.

This really depends on where you live. Since we do not know in which country you reside, nor which portion of the country (e.g. countryside, city, etc...), it is a hard question to answer.
I will assume for the moment that you are living in the United States, in a moderate cost area of the country (e.g. in Missouri, not in LA, New York, or a very cheap place).
$24,000 will allow you and your family to get by. Your disposable income will not be much, but you won't be living in abject poverty either.

It depends where you live. Even is less expensive areas of the country though, $24,000 a year will not give you a whole lot of lifestyle. Most places, that may even be difficult for 2 people.

no. its quite low. i think the ideal (not too unrealistic) is about $60,000/yr in a two-parent household. thats a good amount for a family of 4.

Not where I live. But if you own your home (paid off) and you have health insurance provided you might just get by in the NVA area.

I don't think so. I don't see how you could survive with the cost of living, food, diapers, utilities, rent/mortgage, gas... It is all increasing substantially, but not our pay!
