Personally, for the price, the Treo 600 is still for me.
600 = .3 MP camera, 312 MHZ processor
650 = .3 MP camera, bluetooth, 312 MHZ processor
680 = .3 MP camera, bluetooth, 312 MHZ processor
700= 1.3MP camera, bluetooth, 312 MHZ processor, high-speed download capabilities
As you can see, 700 basically offers a better camera, and EV-DO, and that is the route many people want to take, but they end up paying for the expensive phone. ($300 at the cheapest)
But the bigger the model number, the more memory they have. The 680 is free through Cingular if you sign up for 2 years.

The answer also depends on which phone service carrier you want to use. Not all carriers will carry/support all Treos. Some Treo models will work only on certain phone networks.
It appears that Palm wants to make sure you can use a Treo on any reasonably sized carrier network. So they seem willing to make special models that work on unque networks.

the 680 would be, unless u try to get hands on a 750 which is based on windows mobile, 680 is based on palm os. depends on your taste, i prefer the 680 its much much more stable cant go wrong with it. its faster and all, but the 750 has a better camera and has umts.. so depends on what u prefer.
