Studio bank on the "Name franchise" to "score" extra dollars for movies that would otherwise fail. Save cost on paying actors also. Think they are trying to copy "national lampoon"

Because when Hollywood wants the big bucks (like the first movie made) but the actors from the first movie have gotten too greedy and want too much money for very little effort -- so there is the reason why they make movie sequels without the people that made the first movie big in the first place.

Because as long as they can put out some cheap product and enough idiots with a lot of money and little taste for orignality and quality continue to shell out 7 to 10 dollars to see it at the megaplex, they will make money off of it. Not to mention foreign distribution, DVD's, pay-per-view and cable rights. It almost doesn't have to make money in the theater!

They probably want to have the success of the first movies, that they're in over their head and go to far. That's like the remakes of old movies. The original movies I like much better, but they have to try to recreate it.. doesn't make sense.

'Cause they're stupid, and they think people will go see the movies anyway. It's obvious that it works, isn't it? It's not that often that a sequel is better than the original. Except the original StarWars trilogy. That was the sh!t!!!
