unlock mobile phone??

i have got a Nokia 6111 it is locked on t-mobile if i unlock it on the shop would i be able to use it in any other sim card in different countries, because im going to america and south america and i wanna take my phone with me but i would like to buy the sim card there and not use mine.

I got my mobile phone unlocked, it cost me £10 and now I can put any Sim card in, no matter what network. may I suggest that if you do get it unlocked and you want to use it in a different country, go onto the " Orange " network as it covers most countries.

i wager you're like me and only opt to modify networks, e.g. Orange to O2. regrettably, the A62 is a pig to unlock, and calls for a reduce in a song on the circuit board, very mushy, probable to break the phone. you could try and unlock the phone yourself with a software program that i found on softpedia.com called world unlock i think.

you need to enter the IMEI Number of your handset into the software and folow the instructions. however failure to do this correctly could result in your phone requiring you to use a cable unlock tool again there are link from the software publishers website. see the link provided for more information.

try not to pay for unlock. type free nokia unlock into search & take it from there. there is also advice on this in ebays help section

Be careful - go to a proper workshop - dont use any
codes somebody recommends.

I did and the phone was worthless after that.

yeah if unlock a phone u can use it anywhere around da world with different sim cards.

And u can press menu go to settings then go the phone settings then go to my phone AND THEN GO ANYWHERE BUT DON'T COME HERE. HA HA HA DAMN.

yes you can. just call tmobile, give them ur account info and ask them for the unlock code and tell them cuz u go from south to north america..... then they should give it to u and tell u wat to do. or u can just takenit into the store and have them do it for u. either way.....
