While is it true that red blood cells are anucleate, thus having no DNA, "blood evidence" will contain cells that do have DNA, such as white blood cells. And further, the red blood cells can be typed beyond the general ABO system to narrow the possibilities for the type of person.

this is because they lack a nucleus, which is where the DNA is found in other cells. Red blood cells also lack mitochondria which themselves have DNA. Therefore they not only lack nuclear DNA, but mitochondrial DNA as well. Red blood cells develop in your bone marrow from special cells called stem cells. These do have a nucleus, but as the red blood cell develops the nucleus is squeezed out. This makes more room for the red pigment hemoglobin, which is needed to carry the oxygen in the red cells.

Blood has more than red blood cells (which lack a nucleus and therefore genomic DNA). The white blood cells mentioned above, macrophages, platelets all have DNA.

There is no nucleus in red blood cells thus no DNA. However, white blood cells, a.k.a. leukocytes, contain nuclei and are the agents that provide a DNA profile from blood.

Red blood cells are anucleate, but white blood cells are nucleate. So in a crime scene when blood is collected it doesn't matter if one type of blood cells doesn't have DNA, the lab can still identify who is guilty.

There is DNA in every cell in the human body. I think you're misinformed. Another explanation if in a blood sample there is probably more than just red boold cells present..
