If you break your water prematurely, you are opening the way for massive infection, not just for you, but for your baby.
Additionally, a "dry birth" hurts one hell of a lot more.
The baby will come when IT is ready to come.

go for a walk or do some easy pregnancy suited pilates or yoga you may have learnt at the gym. always remember that it is not good to force these things, natural is the best way.
try having sex, lie on your side and have your partner enter you from behind, both lying down side ways and ask him to be very gentle.
i know that this time of your pregnancy is perhaps the most uncomfortable so if all else fails just try to relax in a warm bath and take it easy, make yourself as comfortable as possible.

Having your water break before you are well progressed in labour is bad.
The bag of water is what protects the baby from infection, and from contractions as well as allowing the baby to line up properly.
You NEED your waters intact and breaking your waters is not necessarly start labour, but with most docs if you don't give birth within 24 hours of having your waters break you will get a c-section.

Whoa........Don't rush things.....You're dialated @ 1....your body has "started" to make the physical and chemical changes it's going to need for you to deliver this baby. Rushing things on your own is extremely risky....In a hospital, they alway work with your "vitals" before attempting to kick in labor....I know you're miserable, and even secretly a little excited....You want to meet this kid.....but, you have to relax. It's going to happen.

You don't want your water to break unless your body is going to go into labor. It is better to go into labor first. If your water breaks and you don't go into labor you are looking at an induction, which tend to be more painful and complicated than natural labor. You also put yourself at risk for an infection.
To help labor along try walking and sex.

Well, I don't know if this will work for you, but it's worked for many of women and that would be for you to get to walking or start having some serious sex!!!! Not rough sex, but really feelin it and don't worry he will NOT harm or touch the baby's head in any way!!!!

Don't rush things, let it happen naturally. When it's time, your water will break, and labor will start soon after. I wish you the best of luck for you and your baby.
