In case you didn't know, it was remade 3 times. Twice for television in 1959 and 1973, and again in 1994 for the big screen.

Some movies just don't need to be remade. I think they should trust the American people, and that includes the young ones that these are targeting, to discover the classics on their own and realize how great they are. Fortunately, nobody has even considered a remake of Casablanca.

Yes because it has to evolve with the world or the message is kind of lost. Like kids nowadays cannot imagine not having a cell phone or being able to reach someone at all times but we never could reach people unless we went and found them or both people were around a phone. Or if the actors are using a 'party line' kids now don't know what that is or was....

long story short, the story has to involve things that the generation at the time knows.

No.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Same problem Hollywood is having now, almost every TV show from the 1970's and 1980's has been or is currently being remade into a movie.

NO! Definitely NO! The original screen play was the best -- and anything afterwards is just a shadow of the original -- and if it was re-re-re-(to the nth degree) re-made again -- that would be HORRIBLE -- which is what is wrong with HOLLYWOOD -- all the remakes it has done of classic movies have just been TRASH.

God no! The second movie was a good, modern remake. A third would just be stupid.
