Think about this! We have all (some more than others) imagined a better world (or life) where nothing sad or evil occurs.

Perhaps this is death. So when we think we die, we really are born into this beautiful world (or life)?

Just because we can imagine a better world or life doesn't mean we're dead now the two thoughts don't follow on.

We could however have been in another world and been reborn into this one or get reborn into the same life (reincarnation) or move on when we die here. But that is I think called going to heaven or hell.

Interesting thought. I've never gone that far, only as far as "Are we dead?" but now I've got something else to thing about. Have you ever thought that if this is death, are we going backwards in time? I mean, maybe we're totally mixed around and are really dead when we're born and born when we die. Just a thought...

who said we are not? Life have many forms, death too, for life and death is one coin. In fact death is a form of Life and Life would be form of death, which all of us happily experiencing. The world of absence of sadness and absence of evil is definitely not here, where we are residing... this beautiful world you mentioned had been offered to any each of us and can be mastered individually. Take a courage....many sabotage it...pointing out one to another..That is a crowd...be out of it and very likely you'll experience Life

The very word "dead" denotes an absence of thought, movement, and awareness. To die is to cease all that. The fact that you're sentient enough to ask the question proves that you are not, in fact, dead. Besides, even if what you're postulating is true, you're not really talking so much about death, as you are about some sort of pre-existence.

Its an interesting idea; take into consideration Plato's theory that there are two worlds, the world of forms and the world of ideas. One world is real and perfect, the other is an altered reflection. The altered reflection is what we consider life, and when we die we enter the world of forms; the REAL world; in which perfect realities can and do exist.

I don't think I'm dead yet--I don't even have one foot in the grave! I feel we were born into this world for a purpose--what? Who knowss- but we are destined to live out our life hear and then possibly pass on into another one--How do we know? We make our lives what they are by our own choices.

when you die the bible says" after this, or after death the judgement"this means that as soon you die you are judged and you go to heaven or hell. heaven are where the born again believers go and hell are where the sinners go. hell is a place of terrible torment. no peace, no joy , no laughter. and only burning fire. heaven is a place of joy, peace , love and laughter. so you see that we are alive here on earth and we live in one place or the other{ heaven or hell} you choose

First of all, your description makes no sense. Second of all, that would pretty much make 'dead' a useless word if we don't even know which is which. Obviously for our definition we are alive.

I know I am alive because I know that death is nothingness.
