I am in the middle of my second fresh IVF cycle. I did my first cycle last September and I also got overstimulated. I had good embies but I did not get pregnant. I had some leftover embryos frozen after the first cycle, and we did an FET (frozen embryo transfer) the next month. It was much less stressful, but it did not work. I waited over a year to try again. I won't know if this cycle will work for three weeks or so, but I am hoping.
I was 29 at the time of 1st cycle and am 30 now. We have an undiagnosed issue as all tests have come back normal and embryo quality was excellent. We put back 2 embies the first cycle and 3 embies for the FET. We are currently doing a shared risk plan, which gives us 4 IVF cycles and any FETs that may result. We pay $22,500 up front, but get $20,000 back if we do not get a baby when we finish the cycles. We plan to use it for adoption if IVF doesn't work.
If you would like to read more about other IVF experiences or have questions, I would recommend the Fertile Thoughts forum. It can be found here: http://www3.fertilethoughts.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11. It is a great place to chat with people who know a lot about infertility and IVF.

I completed my first IVF cycle in October and I am now 10 weeks pregnant with a singleton. I suffer from severe and agressive endometriosis and my hubby and I had been ttc for over 3 years. We opted to transfer 3 embryos in hopes that 1 or 2 would attach and 1 did.
If I had gotten pregnant the first time, I definitely would have done it again. The process is stressful on the mind and body (and pocketbook) but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I had two cycles - first ended in miscarriage, the second in a healthy baby boy. The first cycle was hard as I had mild hyperstimulation - very uncomfortable, though my symptoms were not cause for concern from a medical standpoint. Had I not got pregnant that first time, I think I would not have done it again. Yet the second cycle was absolutely fine - a bit uncomfortable, but nothing too bad at all, though the same drug dosages were used. My baby boy is worth all of it. That said, I have to admit it was stressful. I wish you the best of luck, whatever you decide to do.

IUIs are not that undesirable. you're taking the medicine (frequently the clomid pill or photos) and you need to pass in distinctive time throughout the stimulation area to have ultrasound monitoring. those are speedy, frequently in basic terms 10 minutes or much less in the workplace. many women folk time desk them for lunch or beforehand artwork. The insemination itself takes somewhat longer, and as quickly as you're some days into your stim area, your physician could desire to be waiting to furnish you a date for the IUI. Stim area is frequently between 7-14 days, with abou 10-12 being basic. IVF is greater confusing so a techniques as scheduling. The stim area is the comparable, yet you will ought to time desk off for the egg retrieval a minimum of sooner or later, per probability greater no be counted if that's no longer difficulty-free on your physique. I had 33 eggs bumped off and that i substitute into exceptionally sore for some days. The you have got the emrbyo circulate, frequently 3-5 days after the egg retrieval. you will ought to be off that day, and a few medical doctors propose bedrest for the subsequent 2-3 days. i do no longer think of there is any evidence bedrest facilitates, yet you need to prefer to chill out besides. so a techniques as area time or quitting, it relies upon on what you do. i substitute into basic with my boss b/c she is a pal, and she or he worked truly no longer difficulty-free to stay versatile and canopy for me. In return, I stored her as counseled as a probability because of the fact the time desk replaced. in case you sense delicate discussing it alongside with your company, you're able to in simple terms be waiting to apply unwell days. If no longer, you could pass right down to PT, yet which will additionally possibly no longer artwork in case you nonetheless have scheduled days to artwork. optimistically, IUIs will artwork for you, and that they could desire to be exceptionally difficulty-free to artwork around. sturdy success!
