One of my great uncles was in a mental institution for 40 years after threatening to kill the then Prime Minister Harold MacMillan both face-to-face and via a million hate mails...
Dunno what Harold did did deserve it, but he must have done as my Great Uncle was allegedly a thoroughly nice gentleman before he went ballistic!
However, he was buried by the government in an asylum in the middle of Wales somewhere and never seen again until he died...
This is, unfortunately, a true story!!

Yes, two of my teachers, one right in class went from a laughing fit to a crying fit and threw a giant stack of books and papers over everyones head which hit the opposite wall.
