most often when people refer to 'kevin smith' movies (or the jersey movies) they mean (and in this order)
'clerks'
'mallrats'
'chasing amy'
... prolly 'clerks 2' as well at this point
**mallrats is my FAVORITE and great to quote from**
'dogma' is definitely worth it if you aren't an easily offended catholic
'jay and silent bob strike back' is pretty much 'here kevin smith, take a bunch of money to make a movie and see how many a-list friends you can get to cameo' ... it's still pretty funny though
'jersey girl' was widely panned, but i thought it was cute. it's not like all his other movies ... it's a cute little movie about a father and daughter. one of the best parts is j-lo not making it past the first half hour (her hair is fabulous too)
'drawing flies' is jason lee wanting to be a big foot/sasquatch. not gonna lie, it's a little odd.
'vulgar' has a scary clown on the coverbox, i never bothered to check what it was about.

He's actually written Clerks, Mallrats, Hiatus, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Roadside Attractions, The Flying Car, Jersey Girl, and Clerks II. However, Hiatus, Roadside Attractions, and The Flying Car are all TV related.
