try mixing lemon juice and sugar into a paste. Rub onto face. The sugar acts as a emollient to remove make up and dirt and the lemon juice helps dry up and control oils that cause pores to clog.

i am currently using honey. it is a natural anti -bacterial, and acne is caused/aggravated from bacteria.

every night after i wash and dry w/ Cetaphil, and moisturize my face, i put a Thin layer of honey over my face. i put a towel on my pillow and sleep on my back, trying not to move too much (honey is sticky!)

i wake up and wash it off w/ cetaphil, moisturize.

then, once or twice a month i exfoliate w/ a mask made of uncoated aspirin (u can get a bottle for 0.97 cents @ wal mart). take 4-5 tablets, drop a few drops of water on them, they will soften. add either honey or cetaphil, and rub gently onto face. keep it on at least 30 min or more, and then wash w/ warm water. moisturize, and ur skin will feel really clean and soft.

Hey chick, what you must remember is not to exfoliate daily because you are removing oils that your skin naturally produces and needs. If you keep removing them your skin will go into override to combat the lose of oils thus making your skin more oily and acne prone. Hope that helps!

OR

Some old remedies use:
Wash your face with soap, then use rubbing alcohol with a cotton pad to get the dirt... then to bring back moisture, use a lotion (Oil Olay in the pink bottle).

I hear if you put toothpaste on a pimple that it will make it go away faster. But I don't know of anything like that that will prevent acne, if that's what you mean.
