My acne goes from mild to moderate (but mild for quite awhile now) and Proactive didn't work for me. I used it right for two months and it didn't make any difference at all.

If you're not sure whether to get it or not, try using a good cleanser and some Clearasil (I think the main ingredient in both is benzoyl peroxide - Clearasil actually has more of it than Proactive). If that doesn't work, then try Proactive. If neither works, then try an acne product that has salicylic acid as it's main acne-fighting ingredient. Neutrogena has several of them.

I answered this question for someone else a few days ago. Our company Secretary is a very attractive girl, but she had some really bad acne. She did not want to use the tetracycline antibiotic until last resort, so she tried Proactive. Her Acne cleared up in about a month and she looks great. She swears by it.

I've used it for about a year now my acne was moderate except for a certain time of the month it got pretty ugly. Now I have no problems at anytime. I would suggest this product to anyone. If you decide to order get the face mask it's a good product as well. The moisturizer I don't like though.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Please do not use this product! Now I will admit that everyone is different. What works for one person may not work for someone else. The biggest problem I have with this product is it works at first then stops. I used it and they sent it so often it would expire before I could get to it. Plus, the minute I stopped using it, my chin looked like a blind person could read "War and Peace," as if it was Braille. It gave me problems that I didn't have before using it because I only had moderate acne. My best advice to you is go to the Dermatologist. They will decide what is best for you. Good Luck!

My boyfriend's 11 year old uses it. I know that it is important to use it everyday. She goes to her Mom's most weekends - and "forgets" to use it while she's there. But when she's at this house for long periods of time - it clears up. I think it's a good product - but you have to use it daily. Her acne was moderate - and now it's mild.

proactive works really well for me...i go back and forth between mild and moterate acne but it clears my skin up within just a couple days!! the best part is the mask though....oh and the 3rd step seems like it would just make your face greasy but if you dont put to much on it helps your acne go away like 2x faster!!

I had really bad acne and had proactiv and it worked but you have to use it all the time and it gets costly.. If you stop using it it will come back.

proactiv worked for me. my acne wasn't bad, just here and there, i just wanted a completely clear face, it works. it was recommended by my aunt, who used it and her face shows no signs of acne. u just have to use it the way its directed. you'll break out a lot at first because its getting rid of whatever you already have, and then it'll start to show signs. but you have to use it twice a day like they say it and keep up with it. i heard there's an alternative now to it that works the same way, its called AcneFree and it's cheaper, but i haven't tried it.

I never used pro activ but my daughter started using it her junior year of high school. She had extremely bad acne and we had tried everything we could think of and it hadn't worked. After about two weeks there was a noticable difference in her complexion and now it is as clear as a bell. She is still using it every day.
